Concrete Delivery & Pouring Tips

Be ready before the truck arrives with a competent concrete crew

Ensure forms are set, crew is ready, and any necessary permits are in place. Eagle does not provide crews or pouring assistance, so please research and select your concrete contractor carefully if you are not performing your own pour.

Plan for site access

Make sure the truck can access the pour site safely. Clear low-hanging branches, vehicles, or obstacles.

Account for weather

Schedule pours early in the day during hot weather to reduce set time. Avoid pouring in heavy rain unless you have proper cover.

Know your mix requirements

Specify any additives (fiber, accelerators, retarders, air-entrainment) before ordering.

Have enough help

Concrete waits for no one. Ensure you have enough workers to place and finish the concrete quickly.

Measure accurately

Double-check the cubic yards required. Over-order slightly (5–10%) to account for spillage or miscalculation.

Bring a wheelbarrow (just in case)

For tight spots where a truck can’t reach, be prepared with wheelbarrows or a concrete buggy. We do not rent concrete buggies or wheelbarrows.
